Description:The saynumber sytax in say.c is not Taiwanese or Chinese usage.
The function "ast_say_number_full_tw" in say.c is the key.

And also don't forget to put two GSM sound files wan.gsm and yi.gsm in sounds/digits/tw/ or sounds/digits/zh/. One for 10,000, and another for 1,000,000,000.

Why can you not do this using say.conf?  That appears to be the standard place for defining the way to speak numbers in a particular language.

(I expect the patch to get deleted from the additional information.)

Can anyone help me to delete the patch from "Additional Information"?

Thank you for your tips, DavidW. I never found say.conf in asterisk 1.2.X before. Now, I will try to modify say.conf directly and post it here if I finish it.
