These sound great! I'm really looking forward to getting these included with Asterisk. The link you gave is fine -- we do seem to have a limit of 2MB of data. You seem to have all the technical stuff done now, so we just need to get the legal stuff out of the way so these can get added and distributed. Here is a link to the document you may have already been following: http://svn.asterisk.org/svn/asterisk/trunk/doc/lang/language-criteria.txt We seem to be up to step 9 where we need to have the artist (the person who recorded the prompts -- not the person submitting them, unless of course that is the same person :)) print and sign the contract along with the link to the issue (this issue). By: John Todd (jtodd) 2010-06-02 11:44:15 Sorry for the added hassle here - we've had problems where the artist didn't know what "Creative Commons" was, and so we're needing to explicitly have the artist sign and send back a copy of the Creative Commons for our files so we have some legal shelter in the future. Would it be ok for me to upload the scanned copy to this issue instead of faxing? BTW. I fully understand the need to cover any and all legalities. I actually think that the licence protects the integrity of my work, so I don't mind jumping through an extra hoop here and there where necessary (and reasonable). I did notice, however, that the pronunciation of "Linux" in demo-moreinfo is not correct (for a correct example, see the en version of demo-moreinfo from Allison). I highly doubt it creates a situation where we'd not ship these because of that, but I do certainly think it should be addressed at some point. Thoughts? I thought I would have used the same file to print off the guides as to what I based the core-sounds-en_AU.txt file on. I will look into it and post a d/l for an updated version. @qwell - Am happy to update for future releases. There seems to be a bit of conjecture amongst friends here in Australia as to the pronunciation of Linux. It could have gone either way and I guess I'd be happy to record both versions and let the user decide...but I'm not sure how to go about including 2 versions of the same guide. I'm not a coder at all so wouldn't know how to go about it. The alternate version could include whatever alternate pronunciation might be found in your area :) I'll check the updated file you've uploaded and let you know if our scripts find anything else missing.
