Nothing. The changing of statuses is a manual process, so someone needs to notice it and change it :)

Perhaps one should add:

"unless -F is also provided."

Or perhaps someone could add -F to the init script.

I added your blurb about the -F option.  That's probably safer then rocking the safe_asterisk boat.
