Description:I'm new to asterisk, and when I run the command "core show application dial", I couldn't know if the "timeout" parameter is measured in seconds or miliseconds.

I think that information should be added, to be clear for users.

Thanks for the submit. We will get this fixed.

Am I looking at the wrong setting?

timeout
Specifies the number of seconds we attempt to dial the specified
   devices
If not specified, this defaults to 136 years.

The reporter did not specify which Asterisk version and it appears to be a version that is no longer supported.
v1.6.2 and later does specify the units for the timeout parameter.
v1.4, v1.6.0, and v1.6.1 did not specify.

Not a problem in supported releases.
