Description:When queue announce time is set, the system will crash under seemingly higher queue loads.

Have not found an exact cause of the crash, however it happens frequently on a few systems.

We experience the issues with asterisk 1.8.13.0 as well as 1.8.17.0.

attaching Core dumps from the crashes, as well as console output from the entire call with the crash.

This is fairly strange, since the audio stream should be in an acceptable state.  Unfortunately, the backtraces you've provided don't have symbols for the Asterisk core, so we can't see the state of the audio stream in {{ast_readaudio_callback}}.  Can you try recompiling with {{BETTER_BACKTRACES}} enabled and see if that provides more information?

Attaching backtrace with better_backtraces enabled.
afalog_2 contains the full console from start of the call to crash as well.

attached new backtrace as requested.

I had to revert the asterisk version, as the the 1.8.17.0 with BETTER_BACKTRACES turned on was seqfaulting the live system (I believe this is a separate issue entirely.)  Pleas let me know if you need anything else and I will attempt to accommodate.

Dan, can you provide your sanitized queues.conf, plus any other relevant configs?

Can you also provide the console log for the crash again, but with VERBOSE and DEBUG enabled and set to at least 5?

attaching queues.conf.
Provided consoles were with debug 10 and verbose 10.
I can upload the full file if needed. Getting a new console will be a hassle since the customer was complaining of the crashes on live system.

we upgraded to 1.8.18.0 and this improved, not crashing all the time, but was still crashing.
what seemed to have solved it permanently, was when we disabled debugging (DEBUG_THREADS,BETTER_BACKTRACES) on 1.8.18.0.

Are you experiencing this problem in current supported versions of Asterisk?

By: Dan Delaney (drdelaney) 2017-12-19 10:29:58.968-0600

Sorry for the lack of response.  We are no longer using 1.8 and this seems to have been resolved with an updated version. This issue can be closed.
