Description:Asterisk version 1.8.12.0.

The other night one of our Asterisk servers suddenly sends 300 Mbit/s of OPTIONS packets (6-7000 req/sec) to its peers (qualify=yes).

The server is in production and I do not have any debug information.

I have seen bug reports for something like this for 1.4 but not for 1.8.

You have provided hardly any of the information required for a bug report.

Please read the [Asterisk Issue Guidelines | https://wiki.asterisk.org/wiki/display/AST/Asterisk+Issue+Guidelines]

If you cannot provide debug, an example of the issue, or a way to reproduce it then there is nothing we can do here.

If you require support in gathering that information then you need to post on the [asterisk-users|http://lists.digium.com/mailman/listinfo/asterisk-users] list, as this isn't a support forum.

I briefly searched through old bug reports any didn't see anything related, but I could have overlooked something. Your best bet is to try the latest version of the 1.8 branch (getting you up to date on bug fixes and security updates) and see if the issue still occurs.

If the problem still occurs at that point, then feel free to request that this issue be reopened with the additional information that you have. You can contact a bug marshal in the asterisk-bugs channel on irc.freenode.net.
