Description: | Seems that native IAX2 transfer does not work when encryption=yes is set on peers.
Box A : Asterisk 1.8.32.3 Box B: Asterisk 11.17.1 Box A is calling box B. Then box B transfers call back to box A. When encryption=no is set on both peers, everything is OK [Feb 2 10:24:17] -- IAX2/msk02-ext-4087 answered Local/5309@dial-00000027;2 [Feb 2 10:24:17] -- Local/5309@dial-00000027;1 answered IAX2/msk02-ext-11009 [Feb 2 10:24:17] -- Channel 'IAX2/msk02-ext-11009' ready to transfer [Feb 2 10:24:17] -- Channel 'IAX2/msk02-ext-4087' ready to transfer [Feb 2 10:24:17] -- Releasing IAX2/msk02-ext-4087 and IAX2/msk02-ext-11009 When encryption=yes is set, transfer-release mechanism does not work. | ||
Comments: | By: Asterisk Team (asteriskteam) 2016-02-02 01:43:47.519-0600 Thanks for creating a report! The issue has entered the triage process. That means the issue will wait in this status until a Bug Marshal has an opportunity to review the issue. Once the issue has been reviewed you will receive comments regarding the next steps towards resolution. A good first step is for you to review the [Asterisk Issue Guidelines|https://wiki.asterisk.org/wiki/display/AST/Asterisk+Issue+Guidelines] if you haven't already. The guidelines detail what is expected from an Asterisk issue report. Then, if you are submitting a patch, please review the [Patch Contribution Process|https://wiki.asterisk.org/wiki/display/AST/Patch+Contribution+Process]. By: Joshua C. Colp (jcolp) 2016-02-02 05:59:13.851-0600 This is not a bug. When encryption is in use the media has to be decrypted and re-encrypted with the new key. IAX2 does not provide a mechanism to exchange the required keying material between both sides to allow a native transfer to occur. |
