Thanks for creating a report! The issue has entered the triage process. That means the issue will wait in this status until a Bug Marshal has an opportunity to review the issue. Once the issue has been reviewed you will receive comments regarding the next steps towards resolution.

A good first step is for you to review the [Asterisk Issue Guidelines|https://wiki.asterisk.org/wiki/display/AST/Asterisk+Issue+Guidelines] if you haven't already. The guidelines detail what is expected from an Asterisk issue report.

Then, if you are submitting a patch, please review the [Patch Contribution Process|https://wiki.asterisk.org/wiki/display/AST/Patch+Contribution+Process].

Please note that once your issue enters an open state it has been accepted. As Asterisk is an open source project there is no guarantee or timeframe on when your issue will be looked into. If you need expedient resolution you will need to find and pay a suitable developer. Asking for an update on your issue will not yield any progress on it and will not result in a response. All updates are posted to the issue when they occur.

It appears the bug you have submitted is against a rather old version of a supported branch of Asterisk. There have been many issues fixed between the version you are using and the current version of your branch. Please test with the latest version in your Asterisk branch and report whether the issue persists.

Please see the Asterisk Versions [1] wiki page for info on which versions of Asterisk are supported.

If the problem is still occuring after upgrading then you will need to provide further information, such as showing Asterisk logs or if Asterisk has crashed a backtrace.

Why are you unable to upgrade? What platform or system is this running on?

Thanks for your reply...

Is this a virtualized environment? If so and you have not unselected "BUILD_NATIVE" in "make menuselect" under the "Compiler Flags" category then that should be done, otherwise the compiler may optimize things incorrectly.

Otherwise we generally don't support older versions, as we can end up chasing issues which have already been resolved.

Asterisk version is 16.2 only, it is a Long Time Support as per link shared by you https://wiki.asterisk.org/wiki/display/AST/Asterisk+Versions. Without upgrading it, kindly tell me any other way achieve this.

Asterisk 16 is the long term supported branch. The current release is 16.11.1. If you are actually using 16.2, then that release itself is over a year old. Per my previous comment, is it a virtualized environment? If you can't change Asterisk at all, then I'm not really sure what we can do. You'd need to investigate yourself and dig in to determine any potential problem.
