Description:Commit [4013bfa|https://github.com/asterisk/asterisk/commit/4013bfa] shows how an external library is added nowadays:
# {{configure.ac}} (the script ./bootstrap.sh recreates the script ./configure then),
# {{makeopts.in}},
# {{include/asterisk/autoconfig.h.in}},
# {{build_tools/menuselect-deps.in}}, and
# {{contrib/scripts/install_prereq}}.

Those files must be touched when an external library is no longer used. ASTERISK-29598 (Gerrit [16316|https://gerrit.asterisk.org/16316], Commit [800fd84|https://github.com/asterisk/asterisk/commit/800fd84]) forgot the file {{makeopts.in}}. At that time, several modules and libraries got removed. Their removal were complete.

All updates are posted to the issue when they occur.
